This year, the Monroe, Wisconsin community has come together to support one another through all the challenges we have collectively faced. Our team at Monroe Truck Equipment has proudly shown great support for our team and our community in 2020, through blood drives, supporting local small businesses, sending greeting cards to folks in local retirement communities and much more.
As autumn approached, we began to plan for how we would approach the holiday season this year. In October, we organized and hosted a drive-thru Trick or Treat experience for Monroe community members and their families. It was a great way to commemorate the holiday in a safe and fun way. As Christmas and the holiday season neared, we considered what celebrations could look like in our community this year.
Twining Park Light Display
On December 20th, the Monroe Truck Equipment team joined area businesses in decorating a product to be displayed in the Twining Park Holiday Light Display. This event was put on by the Monroe Area Chamber of Commerce as a way to bring cheer to the community and provide an opportunity for area families to get into the holiday spirit.
Monroe Truck Equipment provided two trucks, decorated in lights and festive holiday inflatables, to add a splash of holiday cheer. The Monroe Chamber of Commerce collected donations from area businesses to put together candy bags for the children who drove by the display.
Visiting Those Who Need The Most Holiday Cheer
After the light display at the park, Monroe Truck Equipment took Christmas on the road! The team visited area retirement homes and assisted care facilities to wave hello from the roadside. Many residents are quarantined in their facilities and unable to travel to see local holiday light shows, so Monroe Truck Equipment decided to bring cheer to the residents who will not be able to see their families or celebrate normally this holiday season.
Proud to Bring the Cheer
The team at Monroe Truck Equipment is proud to be able to adapt through the challenges of 2020 to bring a sense of normalcy and celebration to our beloved community. We look forward to continuing to find unique and fun ways to celebrate and support the Monroe community in 2021 and beyond.
