At Monroe Truck Equipment, we are lucky to have several people who have dedicated the majority or even whole of their careers as members of our team. Today we are happy to celebrate Bill Baird, a painter at our Flint, MI location who has been a member of our team for nearly 22 years.
Bill is an esteemed part of the Flint team and through the years has made a few life long friends through work. He says his favorite part of work is the great people he works with. Bill shared that his favorite memories as a team have been at the Christmas parties.
“Just being able to socialize outside of the actual work environment and ‘hang out’ as friends and not just as co-workers gives you the chance to really get to know people more personally,” said Bill.
Bill has several hobbies he enjoys in the evenings and on weekends. He works on cars in his spare time and has been restoring a Chevrolet
Nomad, which he calls a “work in progress.” He enjoys watching UFC Fighting and still likes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! He admits it might be a kid thing, but he has fun with it and collects all sorts of Ninja Turtle memorabilia.
Of course, on top of his list is his little girl, Taylor, who is now 2.5 years old. She is definitely the apple of her Daddy’s eye!
