At Monroe Truck Equipment, we have a lot of stellar employees who have been on our team for years or even decades. Luckily, we also have amazing employees who recently joined the ranks. One such team member is Rob Knoll, one of the Truck Equipment Installers and Electricians at Monroe HQ.
Rob joined Monroe six months ago, and quickly integrated himself into our team. He works on a variety of projects. He’s involved in the fitting and installation of electrical systems, hydraulics and other units. His favorite part of the job is working with the other employees. “We have a really good team here,” says Rob. “And you never know what you will be asked to get into during the day.”
As for his favorite work memory, Rob has enjoyed working on the Putzmeister trucks. They are the 7 and 8 axle concrete pumper trucks that we build, then send to Putzmeister to finish the upfit for a concrete contractor. They are huge trucks, and he’s looking forward to working on several more that are due by the end of the year.
Rob joined Monroe after moving from Lena, Illinois, a town of 3,000. He moved with his girlfriend and their children. Rob enjoys spending quality time with his family and often takes his 5-year old son “Bigfoot hunting.” His step-dad is a former Game Warden so he can make it really fun when they go searching for bigfoot by setting up traps around the campsite.
Rob has always been mechanically minded – he would always tinker around with things at home. He feels like he was born with a wrench in his hand! When he was a kid, his family set up a bike repair shop in their garage and worked on his friends’ bikes. Now, he brings his mechanical mind and skill to our team right here in Monroe.
Thank you, Rob, for all of your hard work so far, we are grateful you joined our team!
