Monroe Truck Equipment attended North America’s largest work truck event, NTEA’s Work Truck Week at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana from March 8–11.
This was the first in-person Work Truck Week in two years, and our entire team was excited to meet and mingle with industry professionals, customers and partners.
A lot has changed at Monroe Truck Equipment since we were last able to attend a Work Truck Week Event. We have delineated our lines of business into distinct divisions, expanded with a new southern division, defined commercial product lines, and updated branding across all digital platforms.
The biggest news we wanted to discuss with customers was that Monroe Truck Equipment became part of the Aebi Schmidt Group. Our CEO, Tom Ninneman and Aebi Schmidt CEO North America, Steffen Schewerda held a press conference to share their insights about our partnership and what is coming up in 2022 and beyond.
New Product Demonstration
At the show, we were able to publicly demonstrate two of our new mTEC™ products, the Smooth Ride™ and the StepMate™.
Smooth Ride™ Air Bag System
The Smooth Ride™ is a new self-leveling rechargeable quad bag air ride system that puts a cushion of air between the factory body cab
and frame mounts. The Smooth Ride™ can be installed on any 4-door GM medium-duty or International CV and replaces the factory rigid rubber body mount.
This product was created to address drivers’ biggest complaint: an uncomfortable ride. It produces a 50% reduction in max G-Force impact by decreasing shock impact to drivers and passengers. The Smooth Ride™ system will make it feel as if the cab is floating on air while on the road.
StepMate™ Bumper System
The StepMate™ is a step bumper and grab handle system integrated into the Monroe Service Body line to make accessing the cargo space easier than ever. Over time, the ergonomic features help decrease pain, tension, and repetition that can lead to discomfort and sometimes health issues.
The StepMate™ system features a raised (or “pooched”) bumper that helps boot grip the step while getting in and out of your cargo. The feature is designed to prevent slippage. The bumper is mounted to the chassis frame instead of the service body to reduce collision damage.
Now A Brand of the Aebi Schmidt Group
We were excited to announce that Monroe Truck Equipment is now a part of the Aebi Schmidt Group. Tom and Steffen talked about the advantages of our partnership for our customers, team members, and partners at our customer appreciation hospitality and a press conference at our booth.
The Aebi Schmidt Group shares our common values of centering customer solutions. They are sharing resources including a robust R&D department, European sweeping technology, cross-selling opportunities, and much more.
All of these changes support our mission to deliver the best value in the industry by providing a simple buying experience, unrivaled expertise, dependable trucks, and best-in-class customer support.
Moving Forward
Guided by customer-centric leadership and a renewed sense of purpose and mission, the Monroe Truck Equipment team is positioned and ready to move forward.
